    By Friends' Central School
    Jan 31 2025

In the winter months, many Main Line parents start planning for summer, researching the best camps where their kids can grow, explore, and have fun. "This is the perfect time to start thinking about summer camp. Registration is open now, and spots fill quickly, especially for families in the Main Line who want the best programs for their kids," says Katie Frazer, Coordinator for Friends’ Central Summer Programs.

If you live in the area and are looking for a fantastic summer camp, Friends’ Central offers a variety of enriching and exciting options for children ages 3 through 18. With multiple camps tailored to different age groups and interests, we’re confident your child will find a program they’ll love!

    Explore Our Camp Options

Early Start Camp (Ages 3–9): This one-week camp, nestled between the end of school and the start of most camps, is a perfect way for younger campers to ease into the summer camp experience through themed days, swimming, and indoor and outdoor activities.

Tenderfoot Camp (Ages 3–6): A nurturing environment for younger children, this traditional day camp combines themed weeks, instructional swim, and plenty of indoor and outdoor play.

Trailblazer Camp (Grades 2–7): Designed for older campers, this dynamic day camp offers a mix of traditional fun and specialized activities through the unique Pathfinder program. Options include creative pursuits like ceramics or improv, athletic activities like basketball or archery, and unique challenges like fencing or STEAM projects. With instructional swim, outdoor adventures, and opportunities for personal growth, Trailblazer Camp offers something for everyone.

Basketball, Reading, and Math Clinic (Grades 2–9): Perfect for campers looking to combine sports and academics, this five-week program features basketball coaching, personalized instruction, and academic enrichment. One-on-one basketball coaching are available to meet the needs of every camper.

Summer Boost (Grades 6–12): This academic program helps students sharpen their skills in reading, writing, and math. It also includes onboarding programs for rising 6th and 9th graders who are transitioning to Friends’ Central School or moving up into a new division of the School.

Summer STEAM (Grades 6–12): This program is designed to ignite curiosity and creativity in students, allowing them to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) through engaging, hands-on experiences in the state-of-the-art Audrie Gardham Ulmer ’37 Center for Innovation and Design (CID).
